What is Campus Crime Stoppers? Campus Crime Stoppers is a successful, national program that has been implemented in over 1,000 schools. The Campus Crime Stoppers in El Paso will be under the umbrella of Crime Stoppers of El Paso, Inc. This will allow them to be a certified program thus protecting the school sponsors in keeping the student informant anonymous. Only a certified Crime Stoppers program is protected under Texas Government Code regarding evidence of communications. As a certified program, Campus Crime Stoppers will be required to have regular student board meetings, complete monthly statistical reports, and follow Robert's Rules of Order at all board meetings. Crime Stoppers of El Paso, Inc. will assist the school campus with reward money, phone equipment, and office supplies. Each school will be required to participate in fundraisers to assist in the funding of the program. Crime Stoppers of El Paso, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is funded by the community.
